The index, which evaluates most current developments of the cultural industry both vertically and laterally in each city, has now been released annually for three years. Data come mainly from the citiesĄŻ respective statistical yearbook and bulletins of the year before. The report also suggests a clear geographic imbalance in ChinaĄŻs cultural industry development, with 7 of the top 10 cities located on the Eastern and Southern coasts.
